Ada Lavesta Smith Workmon was born on November 23, 1912, in Oklahoma, her father, Jacob, was 33 and her mother, Lucinda, was 28. She married Nathan Workmon on January 29, 1931, in Newkirk, Ok. They had seven children in 15 years. She died on March 20, 1993, in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, at the age of 80, and was buried there.
