Anna was born on August 29, 1924 in Southwest City, MO to the late Orville and Eutha (Marie) Roberts. She lived her childhood life on the farm with her two sisters, Eula and Imogene, and one brother, J.C. Anna was very proud of her Cherokee heritage. In her early twenties, she married the late Charles (Mitch) Spicer and together they raised two sons, Greg and Michael. Anna was a great mother and enjoyed every moment of it. Later in life, she married Dean Barrett. Together, they traveled to a lot of fun places and enjoyed going to Stillwater to watch football. In her earlier life, Anna taught at the Carr school. For many years after, she taught piano lessons and played the organ & piano at First Baptist Church, where she was a lifelong member. She loved baking, being outside working in the yard, and spending time with her family. She would always work outside in the yard with white clothes on and never get dirty. She kept her homes immaculately clean where they would pass the white glove test. She also made the best chocolate pie ever with the meringue three inches high.
