Eventually, they gave him a name and a room of his own. So he swallowed their pain even when it tasted like regret. Unknown

Christine Spencer Cortez of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away from this life on February 7, 2022, at the age of 73. Christine was born in Oklahoma City to Preston and Augustine Spencer on December 8, 1948. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Cortez, a daughter, JoAnna Cortez, her mother, Augustine Spencer (McCarthy), and her father, Preston Spencer. Left behind to cherish her memory are her children, James Brasseaux and wife Alexis, Joe Cortez III, Jolene Wiles and husband Brian, Joey Cortez, Christopher Cortez, Davina Cortez and husband Lamar, in addition to seventeen grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 4:00pm through 8:30pm on Monday, February 14, 2022, at the John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home & Chapel, located at 120 South Broadway Avenue in Moore, Oklahoma.
