    Dennis James Sam Bearskin

    Afterglow
I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.
I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
      – Helen Lowrie Marshall

Dennis James Sam Bearskin went on walkabout on December 29th at the age of 64.
His many journeys on this earth included falling through roofs for the Ponca City Fire Department for 20 years, collecting dogs, listening to music as loud as possible, and giving toddlers gold dollar coins.
This walk is a solo trip as he left behind a lot of loving family. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Cindy Bearskin, of 44 years, his sisters Kayron Elam and Phyllis Zuffante, his daughters Caitlin Bearskin & Shannon Dunnigan and her husband CJ.
He was extremely proud of his granddaughters Emma and Samantha and his many nieces and nephews.
He caught up to his father, James Bearskin, and his mother, Lucille Bearskin on their crossing.
Also, he will now get to spend time with his daughter Jennifer Bearskin that had to leave too soon.
      No services will be held.
A celebration of life held Back 2 Signs on Sunday, March 14th. Friends are encouraged to join to tell stories and eat.
