Lynn Denise DeRoin Hubbard Lynn Denise DeRoin Hubbard was born on Sept. 11, 1954, in Ponca City to Norman G. DeRoin Sr. and Alene B. Jamison DeRoin. She passed from this life on Friday, Jan. 25, 2008, at her home in Red Rock having reached the age of 53 years, 4 months, and 14 days. She married Kim Hubbard in 1987 and he preceded her in death in 1997. She moved to Dallas, Texas, in 1985 and in 1997 she moved to Red Rock. She was affiliated with the Native American Church and enjoyed watching football, going to powwows, attending peyote meetings, and spending time with her grandkids. Lynn is survived by her father, Norman DeRoin of Tulsa; three brothers, Norman DeRoin Jr. of Las Vegas, Nev., and Farrell DeRoin and John DeRoin, both of Tulsa; a son, Arnl Bennett Jr. of Tulsa; two daughters, Layla Hubbard of Ponca City and Kim DeRoin of Red Rock; a grandson, Aaron Atkins of Red Rock; two granddaughters, La'Nayea DeRoin of Red Rock and Alyssa Hubbard of Ponca City; plus numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Besides her husband, Kim, she was preceded in death by her mother, Alene DeRoin, and her grandparents, Vena and Frank DeRoin and Vera Smith and Alex Jamison. Services will be held at noon Monday, Jan. 28, at Otoe-Missouria Cultural Center in Red Rock. Interment will be at Otoe-Missouria Cemetery at Red Rock under the direction of Poteet Funeral Home of Pawnee. Resource: Ponca City News |
