Terri Suzanne Gibson Terri Suzanne Gibson A graveside service for Terri Suzanne Gibson will be 9 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007, at Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of Rice Funeral Service. Friends may pay their respects at Emmanuel Baptist Church from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. the following morning. Terri passed away Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007. She was 50. Born in Tulsa on Sept. 22, 1957, to John and Clarabell (Emarthla) McClelland, Terri received her education in Claremore until her senior year. She graduated from Noble High School and continued her education at Rogers State, earning an Associates Degree in Business. She also attended TU. On Feb. 22, 1975, Terri and John Gibson were married in a Claremore ceremony and made their home here through the years. Terri and John were blessed with three children and caring for them was Terri?s first priority. An excellent cook and seamstress, she was a model homemaker. An enrolled member of the Sac and Fox Nation and also a member of the Creek-Seminole, Seneca-Cayuga and Wyandotte Nations, Terri was proud of her heritage and enjoyed attending pow wows, participating in the stomp dances and shell competitions where she earned recognition for her skills. She enjoyed travel, visiting Canada and New York as well as closer-to-home trips to Kansas City. When not on the road, Terri never missed an episode of her favorite television show, C.S.I. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Terri is survived by her husband, John, of their home in Claremore; her children, Tony D. Gibson and wife, Brandy, also of Claremore, Jeremy Lee Gibson and wife, Jackie, of Shawnee, Johnna Suzanne Gibson-Bates and her fianc? Codey Pendergraft, Claremore, and Jarrett Jackson of Oklahoma City; her grandchildren, Johnathan Caine Gibson, Toney Ellise Gibson, both of Claremore, Jaylan Chaunce Gibson and Jayson Baylee Gibson, both of Shawnee, and Terri Elaine Bates of Claremore; her sisters, Sandra Lee McClelland, of Claremore, Cheryl Lynn McClelland-Tofpi, of Norman, Pamala Ann McClelland and Marilyn Beverly McClelland, both of Claremore, Jerri Renee McClelland, of Tulsa, and Patsy Bucktrot of Bixby; her aunts, Kitty Shopteese of Topeka, Kansas, and Norma Ross of Commerce, Oklahoma, her uncles Walter Emarthla, Jr., of Miami, and Ted and Melvina Baker of Oklahoma City; and a host of nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father John McClelland and her mother Clarabell McClelland, her uncle, Barnely McClelland, her grandparents, Walter and Lillian Emarthla, and her aunt, Pauline Emarthla Connor.
