Helen Gale Spicer Brown was born on January 2, 1931, in Grove, Oklahoma, her father, Clem, was 34 and her mother, Eula, was 30. She married James Baldridge "Brownie" Brown and they had three daughters together. She then married Bobbie Joe aka Bob J. Allen on May 22, 1965, in Euless, Texas. She died on February 28, 1993, in her hometown, at the age of 62.
