Nita Kay Fisher Nita Kay Fisher died Monday, Oct. 19, 2009, at the Miami Nursing Center after a lenghty illness. She was 62. Miss Fisher was born March 17, 1947, in Miami, to William E. and Ramona (Spicer) Fisher. She graduated from the Hillcrest Medical Center School of Nursing in Tulsa in 1968. She moved to Miami in 1997. She worked approximately 29 years as a registered nurse at Hillcrest Medical Center and briefly at Integris Baptist Regional Health Center in Miami before assuming the position of director of the Inter-Tribal Substance Abuse/Prevention Treatment Center in Miami and as the director of the Seneca-Cayuga Tribe of Oklahoma s Housing Department. She was a charter member of the Apostolic Assembly Church of Miami and a member of the Seneca-Cayuga Tribe of Oklahoma and Cherokee Nation. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and one cousin, David L. Boyd. She is survived by one aunt, Darlene Spicer Boyd; two uncles, Jack T. Spicer and Buddy G. Spicer and his wife Emma, and two special cousins, Steven A. Boyd and Steven K. Boyd and his wife Ramona, all of Miami. She had previously made arrangements for her body to be an anatomical gift to the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center and she requested no services or memorial. Resource: Miami News Record
