Richard Possum "Buggy" Bitsie, Jr Birth: Mar. 30, 1958 in San Francisco, CA Death: Jul. 28, 2014 Gallup, New Mexico Funeral services for Richard P. "Buggy" Bitsie Jr., 56, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014, at Rollie Mortuary. Terry Goodin will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014, at Rollie Mortuary. Bitsie died July 31, 2014, in Albuquerque. He was born March 30, 1958, in San Francisco, into the Seneca/Payute People Clans born for the Folded Arms People Clan. Bitsie was a silversmith. He enjoyed working on cars, being with family, fishing and camping. Survivors include his wife Betty Bitsie; sons Leon Bitsie of Gallup and Leroy Bitsie of Gallup; daughters Sherryl Bitsie of Denver, Colo., Rosalie Gonzalez of Gallup, Rosalyn Bitsie of Gallup and Justine Bitsie of Gallup; father Richard Bitsie Sr. of Navajo; brothers Herbert Bell of Gallup and Clifford Bitsie of Twin Lakes; sisters Sandra L. Works of Broken Arrow, Okla., Marcella Bitsie of Gallup, Lee Ann Bitsie of Albuquerque and Rosalie Watson of Twin Lakes; 21 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother Vivian Y. Bitsie; sister Freda Y. Bustamante; brother David E. Logan and Micheal R. Bitsie; and grandparents David and Ellen Logan, Walter Bitsie Sr and Freda Bitsie. Pallbearers will be Leon Bitsie, Leroy Bitsie, Aaron Shirley, Herbert Bitsie, Ronnie Spencer and Noah Gonzales. The family will receive relatives and friends at the KC Hall after burial.
