      Robert L. Rhodes
      age 81 & 1 day years old, of Miami, Oklahoma entered his eternal rest, Sunday, April 27, 2014 with family members at his bedside. He was born on April 26, 1933 in Turkey Ford, Oklahoma the son of Bliss & Ida (Guyami) Rhodes.
      Robert married Janice SueAnn Norris of North Miami, Oklahoma on January 19, 1957. She preceded him in death June 8, 2011. Together they raised 5 children.
      Robert served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Later he worked for B.F. Goodrich as a tire builder until his retirement. After he retired from B.F. Goodrich he was a driver for the Pelivan in Miami and worked for Doc’s Senior Services in Miami.
      He enjoyed art, sports, cars, coaching baseball, wood working, spending time in the great outdoors and loved quality time with his family and friends. He possessed an infectious smile and laugh and a talent for making life more interesting. We all loved his sense of humor.
      He is survived by 3 daughters, Deborah Griego and her husband, Edward of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Denise Reeder and her husband, Alan of Flint Ridge, Oklahoma and Jolene Reavis of Miami, Oklahoma, 2 sons, Robert Rhodes, Jr. and Steve Rhodes, both of Miami, 3 sisters, Pauline Klinefelter of Miami, Oklahoma, Sara Owens, of Miami, Oklahoma and Arbery Rhodes of Seattle, Washington. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
