      Richard Splitlog
      was born in 1849 in Wyandotte, Kansas, his father, Mathias, was 31 and his mother, Eliza, was 19. He married Sarah E. Whitecrow in Oklahoma. They had seven children in 11 years. He died on November 17, 1891, in Cayuga, Oklahoma, at the age of 42.
