Sequoyah Elizabeth Sater Sequoyah Elizabeth Sater of Quapaw, OK passed from this life Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at her home. She was 48. Sequoyah was born April 21, 1977 in Claremore, OK to Jerry and Mylisia (Miller) Jones. She had lived in the Quapaw area all her life. She was a member of the Comanche Tribe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jake Perry and her parents. Sequoyah is survived by 1 daughter, Shaely Sater of Oklahoma City, OK, 1 brother, Jerry Jones, Jr. of Black River Falls, WI and 1 granddaughter Raelyn Beets. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, February 15, 2026 at the Quapaw Tribal Community Building, southeast of Quapaw, OK. Interment will be in Quapaw Indian Cemetery, Quapaw, OK. Joey Giveswater, Michael Buzzard, Isiah Buzzard, Eli Buzzard, Dustin Instand and Steve Perry will serve as pallbearers. Sequoyah will lie in state at the Quapaw Tribal Community Building until service time. Services have been placed in the care of Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK.
