Carl Sonny Glass Jr. age 70 of Miami, OK passed away Friday, December 15, 2023. He was born April 19, 1953, in Miami, OK to Carl Glass Sr. and Cordelia Bernice Connor. .Sonny was Quapaw, Seneca-Cayuga, and Cherokee; who dedicated his life to service and leadership. He served multiple roles in his tribes, and also in the community. He married Deanna Glass on June 27, 1998, in Miami, OK. she survives. He is also survived by two daughters, Ashley Watson and Kristal Glass, and one sister, Vicki Jones. Sonny was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Joseph Eli Glass, and one sister Katherine Kay O’Leary. Services will be held Monday December 18, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. at the Quapaw, Tribal Building with Everett Bandy honoring him with Native American Rites. Interment will follow in the Quapaw Tribal Cemetery under the direction of the Paul Thomas Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, LLC. Pallbearers will be James Watson Troy Littleaxe Samual Morgan Nicholas Dixon Chris Dixon Phillip Jones. The family will setup with Sonny Saturday December 16, 2023.
