      Walter Sonny Emarthla, Jr. 79 passed away Monday August 15, 2022 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
      Sonny was born February 10, 1943 in Hanna, Oklahoma to Walther Emarthla, Sr. and Lillian (Johnson) Emarthla.
      He was an electrician for AT&T till he retired, a member of the Seneca Cayuga Tribe of Oklahoma and the Worldwide Church of God.
      He is preceded in death by his parents, one son Yehola Micco Churboni and one adopted son Jerry Wayne Hill, three sisters Kitty, Pauline and Clarabell.
      Survivors one son shawn Emarthla of Miami, OK and one daughter Robin Christine Goodiron of Guthrie, OK, one sister Norma Ross of Neosho, MO. 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
      Graveside Services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday August 17, 2022 at the Bassett Grove Cemetery located at the Seneca ceremonial grounds North of Grove, Oklahoma.
      Charlie Diebolt will honor him with Native American Rites, head grave digger William Tarrant.
      The family will set up with Walter at the Seneca Cayuga Community Center Tuesday night August 16, 2022.
      Pallbearers will be Dakota Emarhtla, Sahnay Emarthla, Abraham Nava and Brent Longhorn.
